2016 Election Analysis: Trump Will Defeat Clinton in Landslide

August 4, 2016

WASHINGTON – The Politik is predicting that on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, Donald J. Trump will win a landslide election, to become the 45th President of the United States.

2012 and 2016

In 2012, Barack Obama won reelection with 332 electoral votes to Romney’s 206.  That earned Obama 65.9 million votes, while Mitt Romney finished 5 million votes behind.

Just four years earlier, Obama had become the first African American ever to be elected president of the United States, winning the highest amount of popular votes (69.5 million) by any presidential candidate in history.  Despite his historic nature and relative popularity, his 2012 margin of victory decreased from 2008. Consequently, Obama became the first incumbent in seven decades to get reelected with fewer electoral votes and a lower popular vote percentage.

Obama lost approximately 3.6 million votes from 2008 to 2012.  Romney gained slightly on 2008 candidate John McCain’s 59.9 million.

The takeaway from the 2012 election, as it relates to 2016, is that Barack Obama was a once in a lifetime type of candidate.  The first African-American candidate.  He was young.  He was fresh and his candidacy embodied the sort of ‘change’ that so many dissatisfied American’s felt following a long war in Iraq and the financial collapse of the U.S. housing market.

And despite all that popularity, enthusiasm and African-American turnout, he still only attained 51.1% of the popular vote in 2012.

Hillary Clinton stands no chance of besting the numbers of Barack Obama from 2012.  She is far less popular.  She has far less charisma.  She does not inspire enthusiasm, and she comes with a lifetime of corrupt decisions and illegal behavior.

Primary Changes by the Numbers

In 2008, the last time the Democrats did not have an incumbent on the ticket, they had approximately 38 million Primary voters.  In 2016, that number slipped to approximately 30 million.  A loss of 8 million primary voters.

In 2008, Republicans had 21 million primary voters.  In 2012, the number slipped to 19 million.  In 2016 however, the GOP had over 30 million primary voters – approximately 9-10 million more than 2008.

That is a change of approximately 17-18 million voters in favor of the GOP.

John McCain lost by 10 million votes.

Mitt Romney lost by 5 million votes.

And since 2008, the Democrats have lost 8 million primary voters while the GOP has gained about 10 million.

Donald Trump the Rock Star

Trump is the most popular and captivating candidate the party has nominated since Ronald Reagan.  A successful businessman, Trump has been in the world spotlight for years and became a household name over the past decade with a successful reality TV show on NBC, ‘The Apprentice’ and ‘Celebrity Apprentice’.

His name adorns buildings, casinos and resorts all over the world.

Everywhere he has gone, for over a year now, throngs of fans and voters stand in lines thousands deep and hours long.  In early August, in a Daytona Beach arena, Trump drew 8,000 screaming fans, while Hillary could only muster a few hundred the same day at a high school gym in Colorado.  Later that night, in Jacksonville, Trump drew 15,000 people.  This is a normal occurrence on the campaign trail.

Again, Hillary inspires no confidence in voters.  Donald Trump has to turn away far more fans that Clinton can even draw at a campaign event.  This is meaningful as it relates to who actually will make an effort to vote.

To prove how far his national appeal is, Trump won big in every region of the map:  Northeast, Southeast, South, Midwest, Rust Belt, Northwest, West and Southwest.  He won more primary votes than any candidate in the history of the party, and he did so with 17 candidates running.

He won a landslide primary, in a year in which three very popular elected officials from the big states of Texas, Florida and Ohio were running against him.  That alone made it impossible for almost any candidate besides Ted Cruz in Texas, Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio in Florida and John Kasich in Ohio, to win.  Not only did Trump win, but did so with ease.

The Democrats’ Minority Problem

One myth among the typical media narrative is that Republicans have a minority voter problem.  In reality, it’s the Democrats that do.  In 2012, when Barack Obama won only 51% of the vote, it took him winning the black vote 93-6, and it also required historically high turnout from that group.

Hillary, at minimum, needs to match Obama’s 93-6 margin with black voters, and needs every single black voter that turned out in 2012.  That isn’t going to happen.  She may achieve the margin.  She won’t come close to getting the same turnout.

The Democrats have an electoral problem, in that they need 95% of the black vote, with large turnout, just to win a general election.

Not only is a problem today, but its a far bigger problem for them in the future.  As groups of a demographic grow in size, they also become more diverse.  The chances are that Blacks will vote less and less for Democrat in the future, as they grow in size and diversify from evolution.

The GOP has been Destroying Democrats in elections since 2009

When it comes to elections, the GOP has been faring better against Democrats over the last 7 years, than they ever have previously.  In 2010, the GOP took back the House of Representatives with a 63-seat pickup, and also grabbed control of 29 of 50 governorships and gained 690 seats in state legislatures.

Then in 2014, The Republicans won 16 seats from Democrats, while only three Republican-held seats turned Democratic. The Republicans achieved their largest majority in the House since 1928.  Combined with the Republican gains made in 2010, the total number of Democratic-held House seats lost under Barack Obama’s presidency in midterm elections rose to 77 with the 2014 midterms.

Other than Barack Obama’s unimpressive reelection against Mitt Romney in 2012, the Democrats have been losing every type of election imaginable to Republicans.

The Variable Factors

Hillary Clinton is also on the losing end of almost all variables that play in elections.

  1. She is the incumbent party seeking a third consecutive term, which is rarely a good thing
  1. The Economy is not producing with 90 million unemployed Americans and only 1.2 % growth.
  1. ISIS and Terrorism is striking all over the western world and within the United States borders.  The Democrats refuse to even say the phrase “Islamic Terrorism.”
  1. Nearly 80% of the country thinks the United States is going in the wrong direction and Hillary Clinton has been directly involved in government for the last 25 years.  In these times, experience is not a good thing.
  1. Trump is unabashedly pro-American while the Democrats give off a perception that they are embarrassed by being associated as an American.
  1. Trump has taken strong positions on two issues that are driving massive new voters to him:  Immigration and Free Trade.  Both of these issues hit right at the heart of the forgotten middle class, that has seen their jobs traded away oversees by their own elected officials.
  1. Over the past 70 or so years, typically the more physically overpowering ticket wins.  Trump/Pence or Clinton/Kaine?  Who seems tougher to you?
  1. Her husband Bill Clinton never received even half of the vote during his two Electoral College victories in 1992 and 1996.  The Clintons are not as popular as the media would have you believe.
  1. Hillary doesn’t have the heart of her party’s voters.  Bernie Sanders did.  And unfortunately for the Democrats, the heart of their party’s voters lost.
  1. Trump, on the hand, is the heart of the party and beat the powerful interests groups trying to steal it from him and his record setting amount of voters.

The Secret-Trump Vote

Don’t even bother looking at a poll.  If they were any accurate or valuable at predicting, then the people who ran them would be billionaires.

As we learned from the DNC-WikiLeaks scandal, the Democratic Party and Mainstream Media manipulate polls for nothing other than headlines and talking points, meant to drive narratives and suppress Republican turnout.

Instead, think of the facts.

In 2012, the voting age population was 235 million, but only 129 million voted.

Both parties left a possible 106 million votes on the table.

Because of Donald Trump’s candidacy, all the rules have been thrown out.  We’ve seen that few of the old political playbook tricks work against him.  Money being spent by his opponents have all gone to waste.

We saw every single professional political pundit in the country get the entire primary season wrong – on both sides.

The media and their phony polling consultants don’t have any clue what turnout will look like.  If they did, they wouldn’t have bungled their Trump and Clinton predictions so badly in the primaries.

What we do know is that Trump is attracting voters from all over the map and into the Republican fold, just to vote for him.  It’s how he unexpectedly massacred 16 opponents in the primary.

It’s how he will massacre Hillary Clinton in an electoral election.

When the media tells you that this race is close or that Hillary is leading, just simply laugh it all off.

This election is already over and Donald Trump will be the 45th President of the United States.

    1. Turns out this article was pretty close to accurate. What arrogance for Hillarys campaign to pop champaign mid day of the election voting on Hillarys plane! Arrogance is one factor of her loss. And she completely was out of touch of the heart of America where Trump touched a nerve that most America was feeling. And now, Canada and Mexico are willing to at least consider renegociating NAFTA. The dollar just reached a 14 day high. Russia and Syria stated that they want better relations with the US. Ford is moving one of it’s truck manufactuing plants in Mexico back to Detroit! Putin has contacted Trump not only congratulating him but also they agreed to destroy Isis by working together! ALL this, with over 2 months BEFORE Trump takes office. THIS is what you get with a strong leader as President. With all the mess Obama and Hillary made of so many countries along with allowing Isis to grow strong, we will indeed see order restored throughout much of the world. A strong USA causes our friends to rejoice and our enemies to cower in fear. God bless you Mr. Trump and the USA!

    1. Yes, in spite of all the doubters and mockers, the author of this article was pretty much dead on. I had posted for a few months that I felt it very well could be a landslide. Not boasting really, just so thankful and grateful for a much needed change in this country. 73% of Americans would agree saying we are heading in the wrong direction.

  1. Well well, this article came very close to being right on even when so many laughed at the author. I believe Trump is or will be over 300 electoral votes which if not a landslide definitely is a very decisive win. Congratulations President Elect Trump! Can’t wait for you to hit the ground running with both sides of congress chomping at the bit to work with you. Fasten your seat belts liberals as a long overdue course correction is QUICKLY on its way and most of America will be cheering it.

  2. “2016 Election Analysis: Trump Will Defeat Clinton in Landslide”??
Shortly after I first read this headline I began to research who wrote it. I wondered who wrote this (someone named Philip Charles) and who are the people that read it and believe this? I wonder if Philip Charles really believed this and what he gets out of dispensing headlines like this. And what about the readers? Do they honestly believe this stuff? What kind of people are they?
Who is Bill Dixon? Is this a real person? As recently as October 25th according to the blog he posts “I believe my eyes and my eyes tell me Trump will beat Hillary by a landslide.”
If there are rational explantations to these questions, I’m sincerely interested in hearing them. At what point do these published articles like this and dreams of some readers prove to be delusional? Is it tomorrow after the election result – or for people like “Bill Dixon” is it never?

It’s understandable to be hopeful but this kind of writing is pathetic and irresponsible. People believe it anyway? Fascinating, silly, and sad all at once.

        1. Not really connecting with the comments or logic at all. First, the original post was merely questioning the written article that touted a Trump landslide? The question: Who writes this stuff and what kind of folks read it and believe it? I stand by the post. It seems that the article appeals to a segment of right wing haters who seem oblivious to the election results; no landslide but a narrow electoral victory with Trump losing the popular vote.

Still, posters gloat or label other points of view as “Trump haters.” To the contrary, I think most democrats will be far more supportive of Trump than the right wing was towards Obama. Fortunately for them (but unfortunately) to the right wing crowd it appears that Trump’s hate rhetoric they found so appealing was pretty much that – rhetoric.

Let’s not forget, Trump was a Democrat but he was smart enough to appeal to the extreme right to get their votes. Yet it appears he has no intentions of any “wall”, any nonsense of “lock her up”, any dismantling of Obama care, and I suspect he will support sensible gun control measures and a woman’s right to choose.

Hey man, I’m already on board. FOUR MORE YEARS!

    1. Guess this Philip Charles was actually telling the truth huh? @topcop2014 He’s exactly right. Last night was the accumulation of the liberal media skewing the narrative and perspective of the election so that Republicans would feel suppressed and in turn we saw that more white voters showed up to vote Republican simply because they’re done with the current system. This whole time, I too was laughing in the face of Trump and his supporters while behind the scenes the joke was on us because Hillary had been running a terrible campaign strategy. Like most people do when they’re nervous, I too, start looking for answers and what I found this morning was shocking. This was bound to happen with the current political landscape. Is this the fall of the conventional election system? Maybe? How can we even predict where things will go now? We can’t. But we can learn a lot from what just happened.

        1. Back peddling? “Not really connecting with the comments or logic at all.” Of course you don’t. You were wrong. Now, you spend another diatribe trying to rationalize your thought process. Dude, you were wrong. That’s it. It’s ok…we’ve all been wrong. But, what you did was take the time mock people. After all..who would read things that say Trump is going to win? What type of people believe this? Silly and sad? So, those of us whom you mocked, get to mock you. HAHA. I wish you’d change your user name. Hopefully no one picked you as a top cop, or the field was extraordinarily thin.

      1. topcop2014, sorry I didn’t see your response above. But i would disagree on two points. One: This was in no way a narrow electoral victory as it is 306 to 232. Second: saying Trump apealed to a narrow extreme right wing is to ignore the 73% who said we as a country are going the wrong direction.

    1. Hillary Wishfuls:
When Ronald Reagan beat Jimmy Carter in a landslide (Nov. 1979) the liberal media had him down by 12 points in the polls. The media back then were absolutely nothing as compared to the bias that it is today. The facts are: Trump’s popularity, even in swing states, is 10 times that of Hillary Clinton. Trump will win in a landslide vote but the Electoral College will make it much closer, quite possibly sending it to the House for a POTUS selection. Since these career politicians hate Trump, they will give it to Hillary Clinton. This is going to cause an uprising the likes that have never been seen in the history of this country.

    1. This is a very ignorant and bigoted comment. Have you forgotten the Democrats claimed that the election was rigged in Florida against their candidate? I’m a mathematician and physicist and think logically. We see a very tight race in key states; FL, OH, VA, PA, NV and IA. All these electoral college votes hang on a razor’s edge. This election could be a landslide for Clinton, landslide for Trump or a very close election. For the record, the Earth being flat was championed by Atheists. The Roman Catholic Church was guilty of defending a geocentric Universe as opposed to a heliocentric Universe. If man walked with dinosaurs (very doubtful) but if they did, Christians didn’t exist at the time, they would have been Hebrews. If Christians didn’t vote for Democrats, the Democrats wouldn’t win a single election. Do you realize how many Black Christian Americans vote for Democratic candidates? White Christians candidates vote for Democrats too, but it seems you don’t care who you offend. Take your bigotry elsewhere. Any fool can see that electronic voting machines are a mistake, even when the candidate they support wins. Election fraud has existed before you born. Your lack of insight and wisdom, coupled with your delusion in the form of normalcy bias, is what I fear far greater than voter fraud. An ignorant American electorate is the desire of the globalists, please stop propagating their disinformation.

Yes, unlike your author of this article predicting that on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, Donald J. Trump will win a landslide election, I’ll go with Nate Silver over professor Helmut Norpoth of Stony Brook University.

I’m no expert but I found it interesting as I listen to Pat Caddel and Doug Schoen on Fox news tonight opining that Nate Silver has Clinton’s chances of winning at about 87% which they agreed “sounds about right.” Who am I to argue with these gentlemen?

If I’m being honest, I’d have to admit that they probably forgot more about political polls than I and the majority of blog posters (of either party) will ever know…physicist or not.

Pat Caddell: ‘Polling Is All Over the Place… Shock Potential Is Enormous’

Pollster and analyst Pat Caddell discussed recent presidential election polling on Friday with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow, saying, “Something is going on in this country in these polls.”
“All of the tracking polls keep holding at Trump being ahead,” he continued. “And then all of these other polls that are one-off polls, or whatever … I don’t know how they’re doing some of these university polls. You just put the name of some university and apparently it becomes credible, whether they know what they’re doing, or not.

Caddell was pointing out the discrepancy between the different types of polls. “But in any event, polling is all over the place…. Something isn’t adding up,” said Caddell.

“Something is going to happen here, I just sense it,” he concluded. Either “Hillary will glide into the White House, or we’re headed for one of the greatest shocks in American politics. I think it’s a very close call. I think the shock potential is enormous.”

        4. Physics has nothing to do with it, except that many of us are logical. It’s the mathematics that matters. My mathematician friend who works for the Democrats showed me the raw data. He predicted Trump wins in Iowa, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina & New Hampshire. On these predictions he got New Hampshire wrong. He correctly predicted Hillary would take Nevada, which many had going to Trump.
He incorrectly said Hillary would take Wisconsin, but correctly stated that Michigan could go either way, while the media promoted Hillary being far ahead of Trump in Michigan. Helmut Norpoth’s model is based on Primary results. My model was based on adjusting the polling data for bias in the sampling, which isn’t really my model actually just corroborating the accuracy of my friend’s analysis. Nate Silver’s model was clearly wrong because either his data was inaccurate or (if you go with the conspiracy line) he was a shill for the Democrats and intentionally distorted his figures.

What should alarm all of us is that the media is egregiously biased as proven by common sense and confirmed by the damaging wikileaks email release. I wasn’t shocked so much by the attack on Trump, but I was stunned by the deafening silence, namely the absence of coverage of the hideous things that were being said by Hillary’s staff, Hillary, Podesta etc.

Perhaps the best thing that election brought out is that now 80% of Americans completely distrust the mainstream media, this is a good thing. I’m hopeful for so much more. If Trump keeps his promises about fighting globalism. anti-constitutionalism, socialism, then our awareness of media bias will be icing on the cake.

I am inclined to believe that the Dems saw this coming, canceling their fireworks display on the morning of election day somewhat indicates that they knew the polling data presented to the mainstream media was inaccurate.

    3. Bottom line = Trump rain or shine draws thousands, sometimes tens of thousands at rallies. Hillary Clinton quit holding rallies because she can’t fill a high school gymnasium [200/350]. Sometimes people who come to rallies do not vote; but in no case do people who don’t come to rallies vote. Trump = 57%; Clinton = 47%; all others = 6 %. Hillary will lose 30% of the millenials; 15/20% of the Black Vote which will send her down for the 3rd time. Glug! Glug! Glug! The Clintons will be gone from the political scene forever. Yesterday’s bad news. Deo Gratias. Amen.

My experience is that the one who first throws out the first mention of racism — whether Black or White is the one who is the racist. The truth of the matter is that the term, “racist” has been blatantly and wrongfully used so much that it no longer is taken seriously. People who hear it may respond in shock, but it is an act. No one takes the charge seriously. For further illustration read the story about the boy who thought it “fun” to cry, “WOLF!”

Headlines like this are not only delusional and misleading – they’re irresponsible.

The author here argues that Nate silvers holes or trash really? You could take issue with some of his headlines and articles but come on numbers and facts are what they are and he has been nothing short of remarkably accurate and his predictions as the author recounted himself in prior elections.

I really don’t get it. I guess that people just let their emotions override their sensibility. By any reasonable measuring stick, Nate Silver’s accuracy has been astonishing.
Even partisan polls show Trump dropping like a stone and losing in all the key states; even Florida and Ohio for god sake!

It’s OK to be dissatisfied or even angry but what good does it do to delude yourself and others from the reality the Clinton has clinched the election and it’s not even going to be close?

      1. TopCop2014 with respect to your post, I found the items listed in this article to be very factual and as well logical. Personally, I do believe because of the media so trashing Trump, there are a pretty large amount of voters who will vote for Trump for their first time voting as well as some who said they were voting for Hillary just to avoid being looked down. I see many reasons for a Trump victory but with Hillary who cannot get people excited or passionate but does have the media trying to drag her over the finish line. My opinion is for the most part trying to look at the facts. I do believe we will see a president Trump.

      2. Nate Silver? Please. He said The Donald, (Pres. Obama also said Trump had no chance), had 2% chance of winning the Republican nomination originally. As late as Nov. 23, Nate told the Leftist LameStream media that betting market odds placing Trump’s chances of victory at 20% were “substantially too high.” He was actually wrong 7 times in his predictions of The Donald’s demise.
But keep drinking The Kool-Aid and when you wake up on Nov. 9th, you will here Pres. Obama and Mrs. Bill Clinton saying “President Elect Trump!?!”

Nate Silver ain’t jack shit compared to the political science professor Helmut Norpoth of Stony Brook University who has picked the correct winner for president 100% for the past 30 years and whose formula has been proven accurate 97% for the last 104 years. And he says the odds that Trump will win is 97 to 99%.

        Reality:

All of Donald Trumps HUNDREDS of rallies with 10,20,30,000 people

        vs

Hildabeasts pathetic couple dozen events with at most a few hundred people, many PAID $50 to attend. And she couldn’t even fill a high school gym.

If polls were correct, the pollsters would be billionaires.
        They’re not and they’re not.

Trump will win in a landslide that will permanently shut the mouths of all the Hildabeast shills in the establishment media and the globalist banksters.

Well, first I am not addressing the emotional responses within the commentary. Obviously I never mentioned whose side I was on, so the statement that “You’re rooting for the wrong side and you’re going to be crushed” is curious. Wrong side? Which side? This was never brought up by me.

I’m interested in the credibility of the polls. Regarding Mr. Nate Silver, here’s what we know of the facts.
“Nate” Silver (born January 13, 1978) is an American statistician and writer. He is currently the editor-in-chief of ESPN’s FiveThirtyEight and a Special Correspondent for ABC News. Silver first gained public recognition for developing PECOTA, a system for forecasting the performance and career development of Major League Baseball players, which he sold to and then managed for Baseball Prospectus from 2003 to 2009.
After Silver successfully called the outcomes in 49 of the 50 states in the 2008 U.S. Presidential election, he was named one of The World’s 100 Most Influential People by Time in 2009.
In 2010, the FiveThirtyEight blog was licensed for publication by The New York Times. In 2012 and 2013, FiveThirtyEight won Webby Awards as the “Best Political Blog” from the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
In the 2012 United States presidential election, Silver correctly predicted the winner of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Silver’s book, The Signal and the Noise, was published in September 2012. It subsequently reached The New York Times best seller list for nonfiction, and was named by Amazon.com as the No. 1 best nonfiction book of 2012. The Signal and the Noise won the 2013 Phi Beta Kappa Award in Science. The book has been translated into nine languages: Chinese (separate editions in traditional and simplified characters), Czech, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, and Romanian.
Having earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Chicago in 2000, Silver has since been awarded four honorary doctoral degrees: from Ripon College (2013), The New School (2013), The University of Leuven (2013), and Amherst College (2014).

So now to the expert you mention “Helmut Norpoth.”
Who is he and what about his credentials?

His profile isn’t found in a Wiki search.

Dr. Helmut Norpoth of Stony Brook University has developed a statistical formula that he “claims” has picked the winner of the presidential popular vote going back 100 years, except for the JFK-Nixon matchup in 1960.

I note that he does not state that he picked the winner of any elections. Further, his record is apparently is not corroborated by credible sources.
Instead he is making a claim that a statistical formula he developed has picked the winner going back 100 years! Well, claims are one thing, deeds are another.

According to a news report just yesterday, The Princeton Review ranked Stony Brook as having the fifth worst professors out of 381 universities with comparable academics. The ranking, which came out of a compilation of 62 separate ranking lists in Best 381 Colleges, based on student surveys.

As the saying goes, consider the source (which could also apply to posters on forums like this.)

Finally, feel free to wave the elections results in my face should Dr. Helmut Norporth’s (of Stony Brook University) prediction be spot on. Right now its not looking too sunny by most of the polls out there – not even Fox news. But under the theory that anything is possible in this universe, Dr. Helmut Norpoth might just be right and you may not be deluded after all.

  10. Like him or hate him, Trump is the only person who is not intrenched in the political scene. If you are a liberal there is a high probability that you are mentaly challenged. Be that a learning disability or all the prozac, zanax, etc. you have taken in your life, you are probably not hitting on all eaight cylinders. We have come to a point in this country where nothings off the table. You can be a man, a woman, and I guess if you want a cat. The vast majority of our politicians are elitest and care absolutly nothing about the general population or the conditions we live in because they don’t have to contend with their chlidren going to school in a place that mimics an entire other country because they have been out numbered by children who do not speak their language. It has nothing to do with racism, rather it is about not being afraid to stand up for our own country’s rights. My anscestores were immigrants who came here in the late 1800’s when this country was having an immigration boom because we needed labor. They were americans. They learned the language, they flew the flag, and they fought in the wars. Our new ilegal immagrants are not the same. They want to game the system, and talk of a takeover. Yes there are some good ones. There are a lot of bad ones, many on the run from what they have done in their own countries, or here working on behalf of the drug cartels, etc. Our universitys are full of socialist, communist, professors who teach hate towards our own country, our young generation that thinks they deserve a piece of everything others have worked for and the rest for free. Many of witch have no idea what a hard days work looks like. Our government steady writing checks to other countries, on borrowed money that our Great, G<G<G<G<G grand children wont ever be able to pay off. All the while, we can't seem to clean up our problems right here at home. Our dollar has lost all but what little bit of value it has left. Do any of you leftys even understand why in 50-60 years we have gone from people saving and buying a home, or maybe financing a home for a few years to financing homes for 30 years, second mortgages, equity loans, etc., or why people are having to finance cars for 5 and 6 years. Because nothing is free. If all the welefare was shut down today, the devaluation of our dollars alone would take hundreds of years to pay off. That's just for the 40 or 50 years of freebies that we have doled out. Trump may be one of the last chances we have to recover some ground, but unfortunatly we will end up like rome. My appologies if I offended anyone how is mentaly challenged by comparing lib to you.

    1. I agree with most of your concepts and please don’t take this as criticism, because I believe you “get it”. It scares me that many believe our deficit spending will be a burden for future generations. This is not likely. What is more likely is that we will see catastrophic currency collapse of the Federal Reserve Note aka US Dollar, which is another myth we stopped printing these in 1913. Those holding this currency will pay off the debt in one fell swoop as many will see their savings evaporate in the blink of an eye. The globalists will know this is coming and the 1/10th of 1% will divert their holdings to gold, silver and real estate. We will see a new stable currency backed by gold and the old “US Dollar” will be worthless. Those nearing retirement and in retirement will be the people most hurt by our reckless and intentional deficit spending. Your scenario of future generations paying off the debt is actually an optimistic outcome. That’s how bad things are right now.

Every time I’m watching a narrative spinning b.s. based on (mostly cooked) polls, over sampling Democrats and under sampling Independents, a lot of what you touched on is what I think about. I’d offer more of an opinion on the election and where it’s at right now, but you pretty much summed mine up in the post.

    1. Yes, the polls are cooked, cooked I tells ya! Everything’s a conspiracy when it comes to Trump and his followers. But you’re right, this article is stellar. Much like the same site’s piece on the Ryan/Nehlen race and how it was up for grabs. Sure, Nehlen lost by 66% but that just shows how crooked the pools and the voting and the voters are!

      Like

      1. Hey man, polls showed Nehlen ahead half the time, so according to polls (which, according to you, apparently are never cooked) showed that it was in fact up for grabs. So what’s your explanation for his massive loss? That the polls were cooked, inaccurate, or that Ryan cheated? Cause it has to be one of the two. nd I’m not talking conspiracy theories on the polls with Trump. You personally can take a look at the internals, the sample sizes for the parties, the sample sizes for the demographics, etc. Take a look and compare it to the data Gallup polling has. The sample sizes do not match up with what they’re supposed to be, and it just so happens that it’s almost exclusively over samplings of Democrats and under samplings of Independents. Do *not* take my word for it. Just pick 10 polls, look at the internals, and decide for yourself.

  14. Tough path as always for a Republican candidate, especially with the “bluing” of Virginia due to large numbers of government employees who now live there and commute into DC. The 2nd Amendment issue may resonate across party lines, because if Hillary gets into office, almost assuredly that is going by the wayside either by executive action or through the Supreme Ct. appointees. Although I hate to agree with him, I think Rove is right, Trump has to take all of the states Romney took in 2012 and also carry FL, OH and PA to win. Trump will not win CO or NM, due to the heavy influx of Hispanics. CO has gotten more liberal with the pothead migration as well and NM is the single largest taker of federal funds in the U.S., so good luck there. VA will go Hillary because of the government employees. Trump could pick up NV this time around, as it’s very close here despite the heavy union influence with the casinos and there are many 2nd amendment lovers across party lines here as well. Looks like FL, OH and PA – need to sweep them or we have to listen to the cacophonous sounds of Hillary for the next 8 yrs and endure all of the anti-growth policies and general nonsense she brings with her.

Vote for whoever you want, but I’m voting for Trump.

    1. I agree, Larry – I think there will be LOTS of folks who may never admit to voting for Trump but cannot vote for Hillary and I pray he WILL win by a landslide.

    2. As opposed to the non-ideological people who get in the booth and realize they’re contemplating making a reality show host and carnival barker leader of the free world. A normal, sane choice would bury Clinton. Now you’re gonna be stuck with her.

      1. “Who are yoy kidding” is a very special kind of idiot. Actually, he is most likely a paid troll. Ignore him and rest easy in knowing he will be absolutely livid come November 8 when DJT trounces HRC.

  16. Mr. Charles you left out one very key component in your “analysis” —
TEMPERMENT…. That component alone will be Trump’s downfall and he will lose by a very wide margin. Interested in making a wager??

    1. Not a factor at all – Trump speaks for US – his anger is OURS and his roar is OURS! I know this man can have the appropriate “temperament” when he needs to but I’m glad that FINALLY someone with some balls is speaking for US.
